Poseidon-8I : based at the Naval Air Station Rajali in Tamil Nadu.

It is a proud moment for India as it has signed a deal worth $1 billion with aerospace giant Boeing for procuring four additional 'Poseidon-8I' aircraft. P-8I is the Indian Navy variant of the P-8A Poseidon that the American defense has developed for the US Navy. These planes will provide strategic blue water and littoral undersea warfare capabilities. P-8I fleet is based at the Naval Air Station Rajali in Tamil Nadu.
